Aurelian Evening
My senior collection takes the whimsical and eccentric life of Harry Potter and turns it into something elegant and wearable. I was inspired by the House of Gryffindor, with its scarlet and gold emblem, and the elegance of the Yule Ball, to create a collection that turns costume into something more sophisticated. It was important to take inspiration from something that I was passionate about, turn it into clothes that were elegant, but still had an element of fun and fantasy. In a time where people are rejecting fast fashion, it was imperative to me as a designer to meticulously create investment pieces that the consumer would be able to hold on to for a long time.
